HEIDI DEMOSS
Board of Directors
I have spent the last 6 years developing my skills as an operations manager where I helped lead System Customer Service Managers, the Regional American Eagle Portfolio, Regional Operations Coordinators and pacific Dispatchers to their best performance in history without any further capital investment.
I love leading the customer recovery team for American Airlines and helping them to achieve new levels of success in their respective area. They have recently been highlighted numerous times in both internal and external media sources for caring people on life’s journey and making a significant positive impact to the brand.
I truly value human capital and inspiring others to strive for performance excellence through the use of AA’s leadership attributes.
I feel truly blessed to be afforded the opportunity to be a leader in a large organization and know that giving back to the community we operate in is a privilege. I actively participate in the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Fort Worth, Veteran’s Military ERBG, International Aviation Women’s Association, and Women Leading Travel & Hospitality.
As part of these organizations and independently, I regularly provide services for those within the community ranging from interview preparation for graduating Ft. Worth ISD students to helping the Boys and Girls Club children make Christmas gifts for their families, to volunteering with the Gary Sinise Foundation, Tarrant County Food Bank and many others.
My involvement in the community and passion for leading others to see the value and purpose they bring in not only their careers, but life in general, has also lead me to a full understanding of my true purpose and value. Being able to live out that purpose has brought about several awards and recognition. Some of these awards include: AA’s Emerging Leaders conferment, AA’s Imagination Award, Piedmont’s President’s Award and most notably the FTW Chamber’s Fort Worth Young Professionals Award.
I live by the mantra, “If you can dream it, you can do it.” I have been told numerous times in my life and career that something could not be done only to turn around and then do it. However, all of these things could not have been accomplished if it were not for the meaningful relationships built with everyone involved in the endeavor. As a leader and a citizen, I understand that, “You can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful place in the world, but it requires people to make the dream a reality.” (Walt Disney)
