About DFW Airport Interfaith Chaplaincy

Offering compassionate spiritual care and emotional support for over 45 years.

Who We Are

The DFW Airport Interfaith Chaplaincy began with a simple yet profound vision. When Dallas Fort Worth International Airport opened in 1974, Braniff Airlines Captain Fred P. Griswold saw something missing—a city with no church. By 1977, thanks to Captain Griswold’s vision and the generosity of the city fathers of Dallas and Fort Worth, the DFW Airport Interfaith Chaplaincy was born.

What started as one man’s dream has grown into the world’s largest airport chaplaincy, celebrating over 45 years of faithful service to the DFW Airport community.
