David D. Martinez is a third generation native Texan. His grandfather Mike was a pioneer in TexMex cuisine and opened the first El Fenix restaurant in 1918. David has over 30 years’ experience in the service industry in sales development, operations, training and consulting. He has held executive positions with several prominent restaurant firms and service management companies, and is currently an owner and Vice President of Business Development with Texas Amerrock Partners, LLP, a manufacturer of RockWool insulation products.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Alaska, a Master of Business Administration from Chadwick University, and a Juris Doctor Degree from LaSalle University.
David serves on several boards including: DFW Airport Interfaith Chaplaincy, Tower Club of Dallas, Patron of the Arts for the Vatican and the Archangels, the men’s auxiliary of Catholic Charities of Dallas. He presently serves as president of the Texas Historical Foundation.
He is married to Megan and they have two sons, William, his wife Christian, and Clayton. They spend their time between their home in Dallas and their Ranch in Corsicana.
