DAVID MARTINEZ
Chair
David D. Martinez is the third of six generations of native Texans. His grandfather, Mike was a pioneer in Tex Mex cuisine and opened the first El Fenix Restaurant in 1918. His father Reuben was President and CEO until his death in 2008, His mother Dona was a founding board member of the DFWAIC Chaplaincy in 1978.
David has over 40 years’ experience in the service industry in business development and operations management. He has held executive positions with several prominent restaurant firms and service management companies and currently Regional Operations Manager with SBM Management Services, LP. He holds BBA, MBA, and J.D degrees.
David serves on several nonprofit boards including Texas Historical Foundation, Bishop Dunne Catholic School Board, Catholic Charities Archangels Board, Diocese of Dallas Advisory Committee and DFWAIC Board of Directors.
He is married to his awesome wife Megan, and they have two sons William and his wife Christian and grandsons Rowe and Harrison who live in Austin and son Clayton who lives in Dallas. They spend their time between their residence in Dallas and their ranch in Corsicana.
