Associate Chaplain

 

“To become a part of the esteemed ecumenical chaplaincy ministry at Dallas / Fort Worth Airport whereby I can utilize my spiritual gifts of presence, praying, preaching and teaching” are the words of Reverend Veronica Brown as she came on board as one of the DFW Interfaith chaplains. “To whom much is given, much is required” is the motto of Reverend Veronica Brown who has the gift of presence and encouragement. Rev. Brown an ordained United Methodist clergy is the CEO of the anointed ministry of encouragement called GENESIS TWO: Allowing God to do a new thing… and in doing so joined the DFW Chaplaincy staff in March 2008. Through this ministry she is instrumental in the empowerment of people in their everyday lives. As an ordained minister she is appointed to serve as an Associate Chaplain here at DFW. Her main focus is her ministry of presence to the troops on the inbound and outbound flights. However, if you have ever been in the presence of Chaplain Brown you will know that you have interacted with an angel. Reverend Brown received her Masters of Theology from TCU- Brite Divinity, Ft Worth, Texas, BA from Texas Southern University. She is a Certified Grief / Bereavement Facilitator, Trained in Behavior Modification / Crisis Intervention, trained in Marriage and Family Counseling, spiritual coaching and Women and Family Ministry. Through her ministry she allows the Spirit to work through her in meeting people where they are and helping them to connect or re-connect to the Body of Christ. She counts it all joy and an enormous blessing to have an appointment to an extension ministry.
